Before we started making our Bath Kits we had absolutely no idea what bergamot was, so here's a little tutorial.
Bergamot is a type of orange, the fruit of the Citrus bergamia plant. It is primarily grown in Italy and around the Mediterranean. The fruit looks more like a lime or a lemon than an orange and has a very distinct scent... citrus notes with a slightly floral sweet aroma.
Bergamot is used in a variety of products, perfumes, creams, lotions & soaps, is widely used as a citrus flavoring agent, and English teas.
Bergamot essential oil is also touted for:
- Improving acne
- It's ability to soften and tame curly hair
- Soothing scalp irritation
- Elevated mood
- Stress reduction
- Reducing pain & inflammation
